LITTLE MONARCHS

OUR HEARTS. THEY RULE.

  • Our Philosophy

Your child's first years of school are filled with many wondrous moments. It's a time of tremendous social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development, and it can come and go before you know it. Our effort is to help each child reach his full potential in a safe, comfortable and positive environment.

We want our kids to be bright, happy children engaged in meaningful learning activities as they become independent thinkers. We firmly believe that education has to be much more than intellectual development and that real learning encompasses social, emotional as well as spiritual being.

Our approach is a discovery-based program, and not one that is primarily focused on drill and practice skills. While structure is essential, we offer opportunities for children to make choices about their learning promoting and instilling confidence in them from a young age.

  • We Provide

    MOTOR SKILL DEVELOPEMNT
    BEHAVORIAL
    GUIDANCE
    EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

It's important that children have daily exposure to fine motor activities, such as stringing beads, snipping paper strips, and pre-writing activities such as scribbling in shaving cream. This promotes the growth of motor skills!

It's important what discipline approach the teacher takes when conflicts occur or problem behaviors arise. We believe in positive redirection and will be the first course of action, with strategies such as a cool-down time to follow when redirection isn't successful.

We give a lot of exposure of the beautiful world to our children. We promote interaction with the community using field trips, music, art, physical education, foreign languages, guest speakers such as a dentist, fireman or zookeeper, and parent workshops for kindergarten readiness.

  • Our Curriculum

We are committed to continuously developing new and innovative programs so that every child has access to the most current and relevant curriculum available. Our primary mission is to add healthy dose of love and understanding as we prepare the young children in our care for higher learning.

While our curriculum is structured, its flexible framework encourages children to make choices, and our teachers support the learning created by those choices. This approach allows children to develop confidence and a sense of security, while experimenting with new ideas.

Through exploration and discovery, each child receives ample opportunity to develop his or her natural curiosity and creativity. With the guidance of caring teachers, these "learning" moments help cultivate lasting understanding and are key to transforming discoveries into a lifelong love of learning and academic success.

By introducing exercise as fun, we help youngsters develop positive, fitness practices as well as better health habits. Our motto: The younger they start, the happier and healthier they'll be..

  • About Us

No one else will every know the strength of my love for you, after all you are the only one who knows what my heart sounds from inside
    - L. R. Knost

This is why we believe every kid is a Little Monarch. Traditionally an heir to the throne is known as monarch. And these are our little kings and queens who will always rule our hearts.

At Little Monarchs we believe that in an increasingly fast-paced world, an unhurried approach to the early childhood years offers the healthiest and strongest foundation for children’s academic, social, and personal growth. We very deliberately do not accelerate academic learning in our nursery or kindergarten programs. With ample play in these early years, students learn better—and show greater enthusiasm and confidence. Neuroscience tells us that young children need 3 key things for healthy cognitive development: self-directed creative free play, time outdoors, and caring relationships. Our program emphasizes children’s freedom to engage in self-directed, imaginative play—both indoors and out—within the structure of a comforting routine.

Children also need unstructured outside play for each day for their physical and mental wellbeing and growth and we make sure we provide them the same. We believe that each center has its own personality. It is not necessarily only about the curriculum; it is all about the staff members and how committed, caring, and dedicated they are to the program.

We believe that the strength of the program is in the dedication of the teaching staff. Our trained teachers create a kind, caring atmosphere to foster imagination and creativity. We strive to create mutual respect and encourage communication between parents, teachers and administrators.
